How long will the delivery of my order take?
At Coalbrook, our aluminium garden furniture is handmade and powder coated to order. Our standard lead time is 6 to 8 weeks from the date of an order to the date of delivery.
However, we may have stock for quicker delivery. Please contact us for an accurate production schedule.

Description
In the 1950s, cast aluminium manufacturers realised that they could replicate iconic Victorian outdoor furniture that was originally produced in iron. Aluminium is rust free, much lighter and robust.
UK foundries, such as Jardine Leisure, Brambley, Freegate and Ashworth Leisure, cast chairs and tables that were influenced by the designs of the 19th century. We also make the vintage style furniture that first began production in the 1950s, such as the Grape chairs and Victorian tables.
Grape Diner Chair Upgrade 2023
At Coalbrook, we decided to upgrade the aluminium Victorian style garden furniture from the 1950s. As a nation we are now taller and bigger. The original Grape chair may be too small for some users and commercial situations, so we have designed an XL version.
Screw In Feet – All of our chairs now have screw in nylon feet to protect the powder coating from scratching or chipping.
Welded Legs – the original Grape chair had legs that were bolted to the seat part. We now weld the legs to the seat, so that over time the legs cannot work loose.
New XL Grape Chair – we can still make the original Grape diner chair, but we have increased the size by approximately 25% to offer a larger seat that is more appropriate for the modern era.
In 1954, the typical British male adult was just over 5ft 7in tall, weighed 11st 6lbs, had a chest of 37 inches and a waist of 34 inches. Today, the average man is 5ft 10in, weighs 12st 6lbs and has a chest of 42 inches with a waist of 37 inches. Women have increased in size too!
Our reproduction Victorian furniture is etched and then colour powder coated before being baked at 210 °C. This allows the powder coating colour to super adhere into the aluminium surface to create exceptional colour longevity.

The Coalbrook hand crafted cast aluminium range can be left outside all year round in sun, rain, frost and snow. There is no need to cover or store our cast aluminium furniture. There is no need for maintenance.
At Coalbrook we are so confident that our vintage benches, tables and chairs will last, we offer a 10 year structural warranty on our aluminium castings. In the course of normal domestic use, our garden products will not break or bend, nor rust or rot.
Cleaning your Coalbrook maintenance free garden furniture is also extremely easy as the powder coated finish is so tough.To remove natural build up, simply wash down with warm water and a soft cloth or sponge.
NB Accidental damage by mistreating the furniture is not covered by our guarantee, although most knocks or dents can be easily rectified using touch up paints.

Coalbrook’s Victorian style bench, chair and table components are then powder coated to architectural grade. Our outdoor furniture is then assembled and delivered ready to go!
