How long will the delivery of my order take?
At Coalbrook, our aluminium garden furniture is handmade and powder coated to order. Our standard lead time is 6 to 8 weeks from the date of an order to the date of delivery.
However, we may have stock for quicker delivery. Please contact us for an accurate production schedule.

Description
In the 1950s, cast aluminium manufacturers realised that they could replicate iconic Victorian outdoor furniture that was originally produced in iron. Aluminium is rust free, much lighter, but still robust.
UK aluminium foundries, such as Jardine Leisure, Brambley, Freegate and Ashworth Leisure, cast benches, chairs and tables that were influenced by the designs of the 19th century. At Coalbrook, we also make the vintage-style furniture that first began production in the 1950s, such as the Sandringham chair and bench.
The Sandringham Bench is based on the Andrew McLaren & Co. Lion garden bench, design no. 281316, which was registered at the Public Records Office in 1874. Our version has solid aluminium slats that are fixed into a frame to avoid any lateral movement.
Our reproduction Victorian furniture is etched and then colour powder coated before being baked at 210 °C. This allows the powder coating colour to super adhere into the aluminium surface to create exceptional colour longevity.
Sandringham Bench Upgrades 2023
Screw In Feet – All of our chairs, benches and tables now have screw-in nylon feet to protect the powder coating from scratching or chipping.
Lateral Movement Eliminated
To arrest any lateral movement, we have upgraded the Sandringham bench with the following improvements.
Solid Cast Aluminium Slats – we use solid aluminium instead of wooden slats so there is no maintenance. We can also powder coat the seat and back to match the rest of the bench or chair. We do not use extruded aluminium slats that are hollow and susceptible to bending.
Welded Slats – the bench slats are not simply bolted to the seat ends, they are welded to a frame.
Slat Supports – our benches are further strengthened with supports that keep the slats in position.
Brass Nuts – Coalbrook now specifies solid brass dome nuts for the sides of our chairs and benches.

The Coalbrook hand crafted cast aluminium range can be left outside all year round in sun, rain, frost and snow. There is no need to cover or store our cast aluminium furniture. There is no need for maintenance.
At Coalbrook we are so confident that our vintage benches, tables and chairs will last, we offer a 10 year structural warranty on our aluminium castings. In the course of normal domestic use, our garden products will not break or bend, nor rust or rot.
Cleaning your Coalbrook maintenance free garden furniture is also extremely easy as the powder coated finish is so tough.To remove natural build up, simply wash down with warm water and a soft cloth or sponge.
NB Accidental damage by mistreating the furniture is not covered by our guarantee, although most knocks or dents can be easily rectified using touch up paints.
